Grow Your Green Food
A QGET Initiative
In 2023, the QGET Family Group initiated the Grow Your Green Food (GYGF) (Saturday, April 15, 2023). A dedicated team, led by experienced QGET Members, was established for this purpose. Presently, the team comprises 33 members, with expectations of further growth in the future.
The official launch of the GYGF Initiative coincided with the QGET Onam Celebration, a festival of Harvest. This celebration, known as VASANTHOLSAVAM 23, took place on September 29, 2023. As part of the festivities, Seeds Kits & Plants were distributed to all participating members.
The primary objectives of the GYGF Initiative are as follows:
- Encouraging each QGET Family Member to cultivate at least one plant in their home.
- Contributing to the greening of surrounding areas, thereby playing a role in transforming Qatar into a Green Qatar.
- Participating in the Grand Opening of the Horticulture Expo 2023, scheduled to commence on Monday, October 2, 2023, and concluding on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
