Doha, Qatar: The QGET (Government Engineering College, Thrissur Alumni, Qatar Chapter) celebrated the much-anticipated KISSA” on 14th February 2025, bringing together families for a day filled with fun, laughter, and friendly competition.  Held at the Liwan Resort, Semaisma, the event featured a wide range of activities for everyone— from kids to couples to entire families—ensuring no one left without a smile on their face.

The program began with an introductory speech by President Mr. Tomy KV. Following that, a variety of fun-filled games took place organised by Ms. Shahna Zubair, Ms. Lakshmi Sreedharan and Ms. Gowri Rajan supported by Mr. GopuRajasekhar, Mr. Illyas Najmusalah, Mr. Akhil C K, Mr. Amjad V and Mr. Sudev V .

Kids’ Games: Endless Laughter

The Scavenger Hunt was another big hit, where kids raced to solve riddles and collect clues hidden around the park, all while learning the value of teamwork and problem-solving. In addition to the Scavenger Hunt, there were plenty of other exciting games like the Balloon Hoop Race and Dumb Charades, where kids had a blast acting out funny prompts and hopping with balloons between their legs, making for a day filled with laughter and endless fun!

Individual Games: A Challenge for Everyone

The Tug of War was another crowd favourite, where ladies and gents teamed up to pull a giant rope in a friendly battle of strength and teamwork, cheering each other on as they fought for victory. It was an exciting and energetic game that brought everyone together in the spirit of friendly competition! The Lava Walk was a thrilling game where kids had to carefully step on a series of “safe” spots, avoiding the “lava” on the ground as they raced to the other side. With every step, their excitement grew, and the challenge of balancing and hopping from one spot to another kept everyone on their toes! The ‘Quick Cup’ was a delightful and entertaining game in which ladies skillfully maneuvered cups while keeping a balloon bouncing in the air, bringing endless joy!

Couple Game: Love filled game

The ‘Balloon Balance Relay’ was a game of chemistry and romance, where couples had to work together to keep a balloon balanced on their backs while racing to the finish line.

QGET unveiled the QGET Privilege Card, presented by President Mr. Tomy KV. The card was launched by senior QGET members Mr. John E. J. and Mr. Mathew Francis.

QGET also presented a token of appreciation to Mr. Jensen Anthony for his long-term dedicated service to the QGET fraternity as he is leaving Qatar for good.

Alongside the games, the energetic music band Ekkoz took to the stage, filling the event with vibrant live music.
