QGET Box Cricket Tournament “POWERPLAY” Concludes with Thrilling Matches

Doha: QGET, Government Engineering College Thrissur Alumni Association, Qatar Chapter organized a Box Cricket Tournament “POWERPLAY” which concluded in grand style, witnessing exciting matches and spirited performances. The tournament, held among QGET members, saw Qatar Redstorms emerge victorious, clinching both the Men’s and Women’s titles. Sunrays Doha put up a strong fight, finishing as runners-up in both categories. Corniche Blues and Lusail Legends also delivered commendable performances, with all matches being closely contested.

Individual honors went to Sanaf P., named Men’s Player of the Tournament, and Shereefa Razana, who took home the Women’s Player of the Tournament award. The event also featured fun competitions for kids, including “Aim at the Stumps” and “In/Out,” adding to the festive atmosphere.

The tournament was supported by venue partners VOLTAGE, Chayakada, and AS SPORTS, with Shabz Kitchen providing refreshments. The event was a resounding success, thanks to the participation of players, families, and supporters. QGET is a vibrant group of over 300 members who are engineers and their families is planning for their next event “Keralolsavam” to celebrate the Onam and Keralapiravi festivals.
